About the Founder
Apsara Afsanesara is an international dancer, choreographer, and instructor specializing in Persian, Central Asian, and Georgian dance. She has studied with master teachers from Iran, Georgia, and Uzbekistan (and others), and deepened her training through repeated travels to Iran and Georgia.
Holding degrees in Choreography and Iranian Studies, Apsara brings both artistic insight and cultural understanding into her work. She is the choreographer and artistic director of Afsanesara Dance Ensemble, where she continues to develop original concepts inspired by Silk Road aesthetics.
Known for her clarity, emotional depth, and ability to make complex movements accessible to dancers of all levels, she teaches and performs internationally.
Through Afsanesara Dance Academy, she shares the beauty and heritage of these traditions with students worldwide.
